Brittain Farms is proud to be a family oriented operation that strives to satisfy the commercial as well as purebred breeders. Brittain Farms consists of Kelly and Colleen, Gary and his wife, Kami Brittain as well as a subdivision of Brittain Farms, BNH Livestock, Brad, Nicole, Colby, Kaden, Lincoln and Austin Hollman.
Kelly and Colleen Brittain started raising commercial cattle in 1990 and soon after in 1992 purchased their first purebred Gelbvieh herdsire. One of the main focuses is to maintain the hybrid vigor while capitalizing on the many beneficial characteristics that Gelbvieh has to offer.
Brittain Farms consists of approximately 1400 acres of farmed land including hays, grains and pasture land. Currently there are 170 head of cows to be calved out in February to March, as well as 25 replacement females that are kept annually. Brittain Farms along with BNH Livestock hold an annual bull sale, the Gelbvieh Advantage Bull Sale that is held beginning of March selling approximately 40 head of black and red Gelbvieh bulls.
Visitors are always welcome to tour through the cow herd or take a look at the bull calves. If you have any questions or would like any more information on our program do not hesitate to contact us.
